Our planet is a beautiful and living jewel hanging in the velvet blackness of space. Unique among all the many planets in the cosmos, it's the only Home that we know.
At Spirit Living, we count ourselves among the ranks of "optimistic fools" that believe the Earth and all her children can be made well and whole. It isn't beyond our hearts' reach!
For many of us, Nature is our deepest connection to the divine. We see The All reflected in the patterns of clouds and hear its melody in a bird song. We feel our hearts fill at the sight of deer in a misty meadow and allow a sunset to take our breath away. There are millions of people like us that love the Earth in such a spirit-centered way.
While sometimes we may despair at the state of the world, did you know that our seemingly small, individual efforts really DO make a difference? When we taught at the International Conference of Science and Consciousness, we learned a fact that gives us both hope and courage. It only takes the square root of 1% of any population to create the critical mass necessary for a meta paradigm shift in the culture. In other words, when this many people learn to live in Reverent Participatory Relationship** with the Earth and all her creatures--it will become the dominant behavior for all humans!
That means just a very small number of us living in this way--only about 8,000 of us worldwide--can literally transform the whole world!
We want to make sure that future generations have a healthy world in which to flourish and grow. This site is meant as a gathering place for us. We want to inspire hearts, nurture hope, give courage and engage minds with practical solutions. Together we have the power to take our world back from the brink and deliver it safely into the loving care of our descendants!
Let's find our way to that brighter day, together!

Perhaps It’s Not Too Late
I was born into a sacred world,
Knew without the effort of instruction
That the old oak was a grandfather
And the night wind had a voice.
I knew dancing songs to celebrate the seasons
And that, if I stumbled, life would catch me.
It took much to wean me from my early ways,
Left me with blunted instincts clinging
To just pretend stories like an orphaned child.
But I have turned to return at last
Hoping against the lonely logic of long years
That life is there to catch me.
